R. Brisdane Ford has taught piano, music theory, ear training, and math for more than 24 years. As a pianist and composer, Brisdane's piano performances have, at their core, improvisation.
In the past, as a singer or pianist, Brisdane has performed at the following venues:
- Carnegie Hall
- Avery Fisher Hall
- Symphony Hall
- Blue Note Jazz Club
- Smalls Jazz Club
- Plaza Hotel
- Waldorf Astoria
Currently, Brisdane performs with the Music Under New York (MUNY) Program. Although not currently an active steady performer, education and research is the major focus.
In addition to being a musician and music educator, Dr. Ford holds degrees in biology, psychology, epidemiology and health science. He is currently an adjunct professor of math at Essex County College, as well as a tutor of math, psychology, music, biology, and health science.
